The balloon animal that is me

My perfectly oval, deeply innie, belly button is about to flip inside-out.

I'm not sure why this is devastating, except that it might be the one thing I didn't think of ahead of time. The texture feels exactly...exactly...like the rim of a balloon, the place where you would put your lips to blow up said balloon: Slightly inflated, rubbery.

At any moment, without knowing it's happened, I'm going put my hand down there and BAM. I'll have an outtie.

Although it does kind of hurt, so maybe I will feel it as it happens.

I'm not sure which is worse. But, ew.

Maybe I'll just indulge it and get one of these.
